Hey, guys. Some of you know this already, but I'm putting this out there for everyone to see. This morning, on my way to work, I was involved in a rather bad car accident. When I say bad, I mean bad for me. The other two vehicles were barely damaged, compared to mine.

There were three vehilcles involved - the truck in front of me, me, and the truck behind me. The guy behind me didn't see that we were stopped, so he hit me from behind doing at least 25 mph. That impact forced me into the rear bumper of the truck in front of me. With these two trucks, my car was essentially "sandwiched" between them - both of my bumpers were practically destroyed, my radiator was breached, my trunk door broken shut, front passenger door jammed shut, etc. etc. In a nutshell, my car is totaled. Cannot be driven.

Until the insurance comes through, I'm going to have to rely on my family, friends, and a potential rental car to get me around. I should be able to get started on another car. Since the fault for the entire accident fell on the guy behind me, I don't have to worry about finances too much. However, that doesn't mean this will be easy.

Even though this wreck wasn't my fault, I know that I'm gonna have a tough time doing anything for a while. Until this issue settles, I cannot guarentee anything - for this site, for other sites, or for myself, for that matter. So, in this regard, I've considered an option - opening up a PayPal account, or something to that nature, and allowing people to donate a dollar or two in order to help me through this. While I won't ask anything to give anything, I do have a different question. With this scenario - my car being totaled, my job reachable only by car, and my checks stretched to their limit as it is - would you consider donating anything to help me through this?

You don't have to if you don't want to. I won't ask for handouts - I'm asking if you would consider it, is all. It's your choice.
